A difficult life, similar to that of many Malagasy little girls

Malala and Nathalie's family is representative of the 150 families who educate their children at the Régne school that we support.

Malala and Nathalie are respectively 13 and 11 years old. They are part of a family of 7 children. Their father left home. Their mother does housework and cannot pay the school fees paid by J'IRAI A L'ECOLE. The three older sisters live with their paternal grandmother. The maternal grandmother takes care of their two youngest sisters.

Malala and Nathalie walk 8 km every day to get to school. Back home, they take care of cooking and go to the lake every week for the laundry chore. They have little time left to do their homework but both are doing their best to get good results. Malala wants to be a teacher and Nathalie a doctor.

In the house without running water, sits an old TV bought second-hand a long time ago.

It only worked for a few hours. In this chaotic universe, school remains the only escape for these little girls. However, too often they will leave the school benches prematurely.
