My teacher Tahina, “I love her so much”

Tahina is pretty much the teacher every pupil would like to have.

Last year at the School of the Little Giants, she taught fourth grade. This year, she wanted to stay with her students through fifth grade, right up to the middle school entrance exam.

A pillar of the school since its opening, Tahina is a gentle and respected figure—discreet yet indispensable. She lives near the school, which allows her to always be available for her students and their families, even outside of school hours.

The second of four children, she began teaching at the age of 19, which allowed her to finance the studies she continued to pursue alongside her teaching until she earned her CAP in Education.

Since joining the Little Giants team, Tahina has continued to grow. Through online training courses, she enhances her skills every day.

Eager to innovate, she devotes much of her time to preparing her lessons, constantly seeking new methods “to make learning more engaging.” When she has a moment to spare, she recharges by dancing.

Her priorities are clear: her daughter, born earlier this year; her younger brother, whose higher education in civil engineering at the École Polytechnique of Antananarivo she is funding; and finally, her pupils, who were all overjoyed to learn that she would be their teacher for a second consecutive year.

Thank you, Tahina, for your great dedication.
