Portrait of Hazard

Hazard is a 4-year-old boy in the middle class at the School of the Little Giants. Energetic and always on the go, he dreams of becoming a professional soccer player or a tuk-tuk driver. His name is no coincidence: his parents chose it in honor of the Belgian international soccer player Eden Hazard!


Hazard lives with his little brother Arias, his parents, and his grandmother in a single room accessed by a ladder.


As is often the case, it is the mother who is the sole breadwinner for the family. With her high school diploma in hand, she walks the streets selling secondhand clothes door-to-door. Her income, modest but steady, allows Hazard and Arias to eat and go to school. Food and education are the two top priorities for this mother. Everything else is superfluous and out of reach.


The father, a casual bricklayer, is often unemployed. He plays soccer on the weekends with his friends, while the mother does the laundry...
